Abstract:
»Literary characters in medieval literature are occasionally connected with descriptions of long lasting 'mental wounds' caused by war or other forms of violence. The article defines these 'trauma narratives' as a tool that allows to discuss negative emotions like fear, sadness, pain, and rage which were attributed and evaluated gender-specifically.«
